Stream: v2 to FHIR
Topic: Provenance.agent Unknown
Hans Buitendijk (Jan 05 2021 at 21:25):
@John Moehrke or others in Security. When mapping EVN to Provenance, one of the EVN fields is optional (Operator ID) and the intended target Provenance.agent.who is a required reference. How do we mark that as "unknown"?
John Moehrke (Jan 05 2021 at 21:27):
Seems you would not record that .agent. I presume you can (and always would) record one .agent which is the source system from which the message came. The operator would be a second .agent if it is available.
Hans Buitendijk (Jan 05 2021 at 21:29):
So we would have to use one of the also optional MSH fields that may not be present as we only act on what is in the message. Hmmm.
John Moehrke (Jan 05 2021 at 21:30):
if you don't have some kind of an agent... then there is not much value in a Provenance resource.
Hans Buitendijk (Jan 05 2021 at 21:31):
There is still the other EVN data. But probability of MSH having something to value it is high so let's start there.
