Is the objective of the FHIR RDF (Turtle) representation to be OWL-DL compatible?
Eric Prud'hommeaux (May 20 2016 at 05:53):
yes, but i'm not sure how you envision that constraining the design
Eric Prud'hommeaux (May 20 2016 at 05:59):
I suspect it's more constraining to be "describable in RDFS". consider that OWL punning permits an IRI to label a class, object property and a datatype property in different contexts in your ontology. Compare to RDFS domain and range inferences which apply universally without respect to context.
Renato Iannella (May 20 2016 at 06:49):
Are you saying that the OWL profiles https://www.w3.org/TR/owl2-profiles/ do not constrain design?

OWL punning: "A train whistle? That's a hoot."
