Topic: Who's using FHIR
Harry Boer (Jun 04 2020 at 09:29):
Hi,
I’m writing up a project in which I want to use FHIR. Does anyone know or can point me to a list of hospitals/health care providers/EPD companies that are using or experimenting with FHIR?
Thanks
Harry

Harry, if you are talking about NL specifically, there should be quite some people around to help you with that. @Ardon Toonstra , @Marten Smits and @Alexander Henket are working on national projects for example.

Hi @Harry Boer perhaps the list of MedMij participant may be useful for you? https://www.medmij.nl/overzicht-medmij-deelnemers/
These companies have implemented at least one information standard (https://informatiestandaarden.nictiz.nl/wiki/MedMij:V2019.01_FHIR_IG) that is based on the use of FHIR.

Hi @Ewout Kramer, @Ardon Toonstra
Thanks for the links and addresses; much appreciated.
One of the reasons I asked the question was to poll how important FHIR is/going to be. Will it be the de facto standard in Healthcare? I guess so, when reading all the available info.
In any case, exciting times ahead for the PGO in my humble opinion.

Also, due to new regulations, FHIR seems to be pretty ubiquitous in the US - where's your main market?
Harry Boer (Jun 10 2020 at 14:15):
Long term, the whole world. Short term, mainly The Netherlands, Germany and UK. We're in the process of testing of our IoMT/Blockchain application at dHealth in Groningen, The Netherlands in preparation of a PoC at the UMCG.
Ewout, what is the best channel to ask technical questions?
Ewout Kramer (Jun 10 2020 at 14:17):
The "implementers" channel!
Harry Boer (Jun 10 2020 at 14:18):
:+1: Thanks.
