Certainly not "afgekeurd", deprecated means something has come to the end of its lifespan, needs to be retired, not used anymore. I would think "vervallen" is better. But what is the distinction with "retired"? Maybe "retired" = "ingetrokken" ?

Alternatively deprecated = "verlopen", but "vervallen" seems more precise.
