Weet iemand misschien of er in Nederland standaardisatie initiatieven bestaan voor tandartsen/orthodontie, zoals profielen en/of IGs?
Alexander Henket (Oct 04 2018 at 17:47):
Not that I know of. Dentists/orthodontists sort of live in their own realm.
Michel Rutten (Oct 04 2018 at 18:01):
Indeed, hence my question. I have a dentist appointment coming up, maybe they can/want to tell me something.
Alexander Henket (Oct 04 2018 at 20:26):
I asked my dentist 2 weeks ago after 5 years of absence. First of all he had booted my full record and created a fresh one that appointment, by the way.
His answers:
- I don't communicate with peers normally. In the rare event that I do, I send an email
- We as dentists have very well organized systems that we love to work with
Especially the latter is remarkable. Have you ever met any physician who will go on record with that? :-)
I take from this that standardization of dental stuff is too big an effort for too little gain
Michel Rutten (Oct 04 2018 at 20:26):
Interesting! Thx
Michael van der Zel (Oct 07 2018 at 06:20):
That is 1 dentist. Is there something like NVZ or NFU for Dentists?
Alexander Henket (Oct 10 2018 at 08:52):
https://www.nwvt.nu | https://www.knmt.nl
Michael van der Zel (Oct 21 2018 at 08:08):
Do you know the ADA. ANSI/ADA Standard No. 1039 Standard Clinical Conceptual Data Model - DOWNLOAD - ADA1039-2006D https://ebusiness.ada.org/productcatalog/product.aspx?ID=7074 I can imagine a mapping to FHIR from that spec.
Michel Rutten (Oct 22 2018 at 09:24):
Hi @Michael van der Zel, thank you for bg info, I wasn't aware of that.
Michael van der Zel (Oct 22 2018 at 09:28):
Now I hope someone knows if there is or was already a project to map that to FHIR!
Alexander Henket (Oct 29 2018 at 20:08):
No I don't know that standard. Not willing to pay for it this point in time either by the way :-)
John Moehrke (Oct 29 2018 at 20:45):
