Accelerating the shift to a fully interoperable digital health ecosystem. Lots of references to FHIR APIs and a really pleasing commitment to using the International Patient Summary. Timelines will be challenging (and the document itself misses its own publication deadline by 2 months!).

Note that there are draft IG's for HPI and NHI Not complete, (especially the ValueSets) but feel free to comment...

I noted that the time for deploying the NHI and HPI Web Services has been pushed out to April 2021, with the specs being published in January 2021.

The 'Terminology Service' will be interesting...

"We will introduce a national terminology service and value set authority, and supply implementers with a free and open source terminology server in-a-box solution, packaged with our latest SNOMED release."

Given the absence of any procurement process or community engagement, what this will be is a matter of speculation. My guess is that it could be an instance of the SNOMED International Snowstorm (on FHIR?) Server, but we'll have to see what the API is and which terminologies it supports.

BTW @David Hay I get a 404 error from that NHI link.

@Peter Jordan - thanks for pointing that out - my mac keyboard likes to duplicate keystokes for me from time to time and I missed that...
