The GUI based validator at validator.fhir.org doesn't seem to work (tested with multiple browsers, different resources). Can somebody confirm this?

It's back up and pointing to the latest validator. @David Otasek and I will be doing performance/UI improvements in the coming weeks.

Thanks - works like a charm. I'll add this validation option to our FHIR Overview training course. I'm not sure if the validator is aware of the (fake project/example) profiles we tend to use in a training course, but I guess I'll soon find out.

If one pastes an XML instance, an error is produced claiming it to be invalid JSON (d'uh). Uploading a XML instance works. I guess this isn't intentional.

Hrm okay, we will look into it

Thanks for your patience, we are doing stability upgrades today as well

Our training-course package is available according to registry.fhir.org ( https://registry.fhir.org/results?query=%22alpha%22 ), yet when validating a resource which references http://hl7.alp/StructureDefinition/alp-core-patient the validator reports an unknown profile. As a trainer/analyst I'm not an expert on 'packages' - what would be the cause of this error?

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Jan 12 2022 at 17:50):

did you pick the package to validate against?
