Does anyone know if the FHIR Validator validates against SNODENT and ICD-10 code systems (@Grahame Grieve )?
Grahame Grieve (May 14 2020 at 22:04):
where's the bug? I didn't spot it @Jens Villadsen
Grahame Grieve (May 14 2020 at 22:05):
FHIR validator doesn't validate ICD-10 - a licensing problem. Though which ICD-10 did you mean? The US variants of ICD-10 are not fully described (@Rob Hausam is chasing that down).
Snodent - should be validated now but you have to manually load the HL7 terminology (-ig hl7.terminology)
Rob Hausam (May 14 2020 at 22:16):
The basic issue is that we don't really have reliable and complete access to the full distributions for any of the ICD-10 variants (WHO "base", ICD-10-CM (US), AU, etc.) or versions of them. We have some very limited partial support at present, but so far pretty much on a "requested codes" basis. I assume likely you are looking for the US variants (i.e. ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS)?

@Jens Villadsen - I remember seeing this and thinking: "this cannot be right". I got the same reaction from Grahame. So, obviously, DSTU2 is not version 2.0 but version 1.0.
Grahame Grieve (May 14 2020 at 22:38):
well, it's not obvious and a matter for regret, but it's not wrong.

Simple!
Ewout Kramer (May 14 2020 at 22:51):
One day Rene will write a history blog about how this all came about.
Ewout Kramer (May 14 2020 at 22:53):
(which should include the story of the lost 2.1 release)
Jens Villadsen (May 15 2020 at 06:07):
@Grahame Grieve aint R4 published?
Jens Villadsen (May 15 2020 at 06:27):
It wasnt the version numbers that caught my attention
Grahame Grieve (May 15 2020 at 06:28):
ok that should be fixed, yes
Jens Villadsen (May 15 2020 at 07:24):
(Guess I should have provided a little more context to my thread name  )
Jens Villadsen (May 15 2020 at 09:47):
@Grahame Grieve you need a JIRA for that?
Jose Costa Teixeira (May 15 2020 at 10:37):
"This page has been approved as part of an ANSI standard" - so I think a Jira would be a good idea
Jose Costa Teixeira (May 15 2020 at 10:38):
BTW, the thread name is inviting /challenging :) - I like it
