@Rob Hausam - do we have any open vocab issues that need resolving before ballot?
Rob Hausam (May 28 2016 at 00:06):
I'm not sure that we do, but I should check - I'll do that
Rob Hausam (May 28 2016 at 00:15):
the only one that I see that's currently open is #10018 - Use v2/v3 aligned vocab for [Patient.]gender
I'll think if there are tracker items that we should add and get taken care of
Grahame Grieve (May 28 2016 at 00:43):
10018 is a question for PA not vocab, no?
Lloyd McKenzie (May 28 2016 at 00:58):
Vocab methodology says PA isn't allowed to - all "code"-bound elements must use FHIR-defined vocabularies. The policy is a Vocab issue.
Grahame Grieve (May 28 2016 at 01:02):
well, there's 3 questions: alignment - which is not disallowed, using the same codes, and actual direct use of the code system. Only #3 is disallowed
Rob Hausam (May 28 2016 at 02:19):
I'm thinking about how we should decide this - PA (at least representation from the WG) has the specific desire for alignment (which we would generally agree with, I think) and owns the resource
the particular policy regarding a 'code'-bound element is a FHIR methology issue (FHIR-I and/or MnM?) - and I'm not thinking that Vocab WG likely ever has specifically endorsed this? or has the authority to change it?
Grahame Grieve (May 28 2016 at 11:38):
no it was a joint decision with vocab in Paris. Wed Q1
Grahame Grieve (May 28 2016 at 11:38):
I don't think we'll quickly change our mind, but PA can change the codes and thir values. I'm not in favour of changing male to M at this stage in the game for a very few people who haven't begun to look at the v2 -> FHIR process
Rob Hausam (May 28 2016 at 13:14):
ok, makes sense - your memory on it is clearly much better than mine :)
so it sounds like it should go back to PA, then
and I agree - I'm not in favor of making that change
Brian Postlethwaite (May 30 2016 at 01:25):
I'm not keen to change from the current values either.
