Topic: Hints for usage
Brett Esler (May 16 2018 at 07:51):
After hearing @Simone Heckmann describe issues with clearly showing scope of interest in IG publication have been thinking about an ElementDefinition extension to hold a hint like 'ignorable' for profiling to indicate a hint that this profile does not care or consider the element as relevant for this profile. This would allow a filter on snapshot view to show only elements in the 'scope of interest' for the profile - is this a good/bad idea and has there been any talk on this? Not sure if we would need to distinguish elements that are ignored but will be passed through (i.e. may be stored or reproduced in client outpits) vs ignored entirely (accepted but not processed at all)

Hi @Brett Esler, we're planning to have a discussion about this topic at the WGM in Cologne during lunch today. Are you present?
Brett Esler (May 16 2018 at 08:49):
see you there
Brett Esler (May 16 2018 at 09:02):
@Brett Marquard interested in this topic?
Brian Postlethwaite (May 16 2018 at 09:19):
assume this is what we were talking about this morning @Brett Esler
Michel Rutten (May 16 2018 at 09:22):
@Brian Postlethwaite you're welcome to join the discussion during lunch. It's about how to render only "interesting/relevant" elements in a layered profile.
Brian Postlethwaite (May 16 2018 at 09:24):
Where is it?
I'll update my rendering too as a result of it
Michel Rutten (May 16 2018 at 09:25):
We'll try to grab a table in the hotel main hall on 1st floor, or the restaurant on the side.
