US Core Search Parameters for Practitioner list practitioner and specialty as search parameters. Is there any official examples Practitioner resource with these two elements? I am unsure exactly what this is expecting.
I don't see any mention of specialty or reference to practitioner in the Practitioner profile or examples.

That is a publishing error, if you click on the link you will see it is a search parameter for type PractitionerRole. The supported searched are are formally defined in in the CapabilityStatement
