view this post on Zulip Erich Schulz (Jun 13 2016 at 05:05):

is there any activity in Aus around CQL?

view this post on Zulip Erich Schulz (Jun 13 2016 at 05:08):

I'm toying with the idea of FHIR based CQL->javascript transpiler (alternating between thinking "gee that would be cool" and then being completely overwhelmed by the magnitude of the task

Not that I'm aware of.

thanks @Stephen Royce is that because we havent gotten that far or is there a competitor?

I had a look at Gello a few years back but it only had one (commercial) implementation and seemed to lack momentum

I'd say because we haven't gotten that far yet. But bear in mind that I'm no expert in this area, so there could easily be stuff going on that I have no exposure to.

the thing I'm finding intriguing is, for the first time (that I've seen at least) there is a serious attempt to harmonise quality assurance logic with clinical DS

view this post on Zulip Erich Schulz (Jun 13 2016 at 05:14):

there's no real infrastructure to support CDSS (because it is so speculative, and the source data is missing for most part) - but there is plenty invested in QA (clinical indicators and audit)...

view this post on Zulip Erich Schulz (Jun 13 2016 at 05:16):

and who the heck is an expert? aren't we all making it up as we go along?

:grinning:

I'm now at a point where I have a CQL -> js transpiler very near finished. The missing components are a "runtime" (pretty simple just to implement the CQL functions), a FHIR client stub (hopefully less than a 100 lines on top of a REST module), oh and a truck load of test cases

view this post on Zulip Erich Schulz (Jun 21 2016 at 08:00):

so if anyone has made progress on the missing bits and are looking for a drop decision-support or general query language the let know
