ARGONAUT AUSTRALIA®

ARGONAUT AUSTRALIA® brings the Argonaut eco-system to to our shores. HL7 AUSTRALIA® is the first HL7® affiliate to localise the Argonaut specification outside the US-realm.

The Argonaut interface is a FHIR® implementation guide that enables client software (which could be any clinical or patient system) to connect to anoher system ensuring appropriate access and authority.

The Argonaut implemenation guide allows for read-only secure client access to:
problems / medical history
medications
allergies
vital signs measurements
diagnostic results
patient documents
care plans
immunisations

PROGRESS TO DATE

HL7 AUSTRALIA® already has a draft Argonaut interface with Australian adaptations, found here. This is technically and logically aligned with existing HL7 AUSTRALIA® working group activity. It includes balloted HL7 AUSTRALIA® base specifications and related implementation guide profiles, found here.

WHY YOU ARE INVITED AND WHY YOU SHOULD COME

HL7 AUSTRALIA® is the local custodian of the Argonaut specification. ARGONAUT AUSTRALIA® is the first localisation project to be run outside of the US-realm. With already strong adoption in the US, such as inclusion in the Apple Health Kit, Australia is uniquley positioned to shape how the Argonaut specificaton will be expanded for global use.

Refresh of the current build of Argonaut AU http://build.fhir.org/ig/hl7au/argonaut-au/ with reference to the CI build of AU base is complete - this will be referenced as part of the Argonaut AU event in Melbourne on friday.
