Topic: AU Base package not in the Package Registry
Ardon Toonstra (Feb 15 2022 at 22:31):
I noticed that the latest packages of the AU Base (e.g. 2.2.0) are not in the package registry. There are not added to the feed: https://github.com/FHIR/ig-registry/blob/master/package-feeds.json -> http://hl7.org.au/fhir/package-feed.xml. Would it be possible to update the feed?
Ardon Toonstra (Feb 15 2022 at 22:33):
Also, I noticed that the package.json of 2.2.0 states "version": "2.1.0"
(downloaded from here http://hl7.org.au/fhir/history.html).
Another thing is that in package.json the"type": "fhir.ig"
is not valid considering (https://confluence.hl7.org/display/FHIR/NPM+Package+Specification).

@Brett Esler something for you?
Brett Esler (Feb 16 2022 at 21:51):
@Grahame Grieve is there a fixed list for "type" value in package feed? I was not too clear why fhir.ig was is an issue?
Grahame Grieve (Feb 16 2022 at 23:36):
we changed the allowed values for type after a discussion a few weeks ago. see here: https://confluence.hl7.org/display/FHIR/NPM+Package+Specification#NPMPackageSpecification-Packagemanifest
Grahame Grieve (Feb 16 2022 at 23:36):
for some reason, @Ardon Toonstra might know, there was apparently an expectation that this would become retrospectively applicable to already published content, but that's not possible
Grahame Grieve (Feb 16 2022 at 23:37):
but for anything new, use IG not fhir.ig, and the tools will do this in the future

@Brett Esler An enhancement for the Simplifier.net's package importer behind the Registry to support these old values is in the works.
The "version": "2.1.0",
in the package.json
of hl7.fhir.au.pd#2.2.0
will however still prevent the import into the Registry, since it can't be sure what the version is you intended for this package.
As far as the Registry is concerned you can still change the package's contents under the same 2.2.0
version number, since it hasn't been imported yet. (No need to release the updated file as 2.2.1
at this point)
