Does SMART compliance dictate the use of LOINC, SNOMED and FDA UNII? If thats the case it means that SMART will not be compliant in many parts of the world. Could the current SMART profiles be called SMART-US instead as I guess the reflects the use in the states?

SMART originally defined a set of profiles. However, that part of SMART was never implemented by production systems and instead, other profiles (eg, from Argonaut) were used instead. So, those profiles defined by SMART will go away in favor of profiles defined in other communities
