Hi Dilum, the app launch IG was published before R4 and has not been changed (hence the link to R3). It can be used with R4 as well.

(The langauge we use in the IG is "is compatible with FHIR DSTU2 and above". For the next release, we'll update this language.)

I will note there is a difference between fhir STU3 and R4 in at least one code system expected in the capability statement (that I already submitted a git issue for) https://github.com/HL7/smart-app-launch/issues/311

Yes -- looks like there are some inconsistent in the R2 + R3 example CapabilityStatements, on a property that we don't actually specify in the App Launch IG. That's what we get for including "extra" data in our examples :-)
I've commented on that GH issue for clarity, and we have some clean-up work to do.
