Does anyone have experience with making a SMART-on-FHIR client also a SMART-on-FHIR server?
So suppose I would create a portal that uses SMART-on-FHIR to connect to multiple EHRs and integrates its data.
Then I could create an eHealth app that uses the data from the EHRs through SMART-on-FHIR on the portal, right?
I am curious to opinions and experience... Thanks.

@Josh Mandel do you have an opinion about this topic?

Definitely -- the goal is to provide a "primitive" (building block) that allows a given service to gather data as a client and to expose data as a server.

From the topic, I thought you were going to be asking about something like https://youtu.be/yNHNwNzVq0g :-)

My question is about exposing the BPApp as a source of clinical data to another App.

Nice explanation btw!

(thanks -- the terminology in that video is a few years out of date, but the basic ideas still count.)

Re: an app exposing clinical data for other apps to consume, do you have specific questions? This kind of data flow is entirely in the realm of what we expect to see/enable.

So especially if you see impediments, it'd be great to hear about.
