Are authorize URLs with query parts OK? IE should the client figure out if there are query parts and them use '?' or '&' to append the various parameters (request type, redirect etc etc)

I'm not sure. I mean, ideally yes but we don't specify this and it's probably not a safe bet that clients will abide.
