Topic: multiple instances against same DB

Is it okay to point multiple JPA Servers at a single database (eg. Postgres) @James Agnew ? Are there any known gotcha's doing so? I know the Lucene stuff needs to be bound to ElasticSearch, but besides that, what else should be considered? What about the reindexing jobs and Subscription.
