Hello,
for my job , i have to create some rules between spanish data to FHIR that talk about medication dosage schedule.
most of job is done thanks to great fhir explanation there : https://www.hl7.org/fhir/valueset-event-timing.html
but some cases in spain refer to the concept of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merienda
some pills have to be taken during "merienda" meal .
can not express this with fhir .
thanks

(Use the "propose a change" link at the bottom of any page in the spec.)

isn't that what is being discussed in this thead? https://chat.fhir.org/#narrow/stream/implementers/topic/Timing.2Erepeat.2Ewhen.2FtimeOfDay

No. That discussion is about time-periods like "early morning" and "late morning" - more fine-grained codes than the "morning" and "afternoon" codes we already have. This proposal would add a new concept equivalent to "with supper" or "with breakfast", but referencing a new "standard meal type"

The proposal should indicate whether we only need "with merienda" or whether there'd also be a need for a "before merienda" and "after merienda" concept.

thank you .. i will do this after my HL7GForge account creation will be validated and later depending this discussion continue with other points of view..

The proposal should indicate whether we only need "with merienda" or whether there'd also be a need for a "before merienda" and "after merienda" concept.

From my point of vue (the project i'm in) there is "no need" for a" before" and "after" as the specifications indicate only the use of "during merienda".
From my logical point of view, as this is a new "meal" inside the valueset and as there is for other meals some after & before value.. i feel i just as the same for merienda.
Other points of view are welcome here... i can wait before the proposal ..
