Has anyone any experience with implementing patient queries that are 'merge aware'? ie when executing a query that returns a merged patient (active=false) do you also include the resource to which it has been merged? I note that this is an on-going question in the spec, but it's coming up for us in NZ so interested to see what others have done...

@David Hay , This is an area that I believe PA will be looking at for R5, and IHE is currently looking at. Patient Admin has set up a a page (https://confluence.hl7.org/display/PA/Patient+Merge+and+Link) to record use cases, and I think will be discussing this at the May WGM.
