Topic: local implementation of FHIRPath tool
Eric Haas (Apr 03 2019 at 21:02):
Grahame's Notebook ++ fhirpath tool used to work great , but haven't been able to the get fhir tools addon to work in notebook++ for a quite a while now. I've looked at several options but have not found a handy way to test FHIRpath expression's locally (mostly because the installation seems daunting). What are people using? Any online options?
Grahame Grieve (Apr 03 2019 at 21:09):
it's on my list
Michael Calderero (Apr 03 2019 at 21:46):
http://niquola.github.io/fhirpath-demo/#/ seems pretty useful.

You're on a Mac, otherwise there is a Windows based one you could try

@Brian Postlethwaite the install scared me away. (I have a PC too.)
Eric Haas (Apr 04 2019 at 01:35):
@Michael Calderero tried that one and did not seem to work as well as I wanted.
Brian Postlethwaite (Apr 04 2019 at 01:36):

Eric Haas (Apr 04 2019 at 01:37):

Brian Postlethwaite (Apr 04 2019 at 01:37):
I have a version that I could deploy to the Windows app store, but haven't as yet...
Eric Haas (Apr 04 2019 at 01:38):

Eric Haas (Apr 04 2019 at 01:39):
(I am used to clicking a download button :-))
Brian Postlethwaite (Apr 04 2019 at 01:48):
Lol, I should do something about that to make it easier.
Brian Postlethwaite (Apr 04 2019 at 01:49):
Was hoping to do a new release with final support for R4, but still having a few minor issues with the net fhirclient changes. (some of the bits I use were changed to privates)
Brian Postlethwaite (Apr 04 2019 at 01:52):
Just grab all the DLLs and exe and save in a local folder, you'll also need to say they are safe to run...
Yeah, I really should just put that all in a Zip package to extract.

Release 1.0.2 works for me, but 1.0.3 throws an error and closes.

It could be something about my machine
Richard Townley-O'Neill (Apr 04 2019 at 05:53):
I'm happy to fine 1.0.2, I was using an even older one.
Brian Postlethwaite (Apr 04 2019 at 05:54):
I'm looking forward to the new build that has the official 4.0 release in it, and updates to the fhirpath engine too.
