Topic: defining ValueSet = CodeSystem
Ken Sinn (Nov 09 2016 at 14:25):
Hello all,
Are there any guidelines on defining a ValueSet that is exactly the CodeSystem? For example, if we wanted to allow the entire ISO 639-3 (3-letter language code) for a "language" element, the code system would be urn:iso:std:iso:639:-3 -- would there be anything against defining the ValueSet using the same URI?
Lloyd McKenzie (Nov 09 2016 at 15:15):
It shouldn't be the same URI as you're talking about a different thing - one's the code system, one's the value set.

language is tricky. Have you looked at the different bindings for language?
