Can anyone point me in the direction of a resource example that makes use of a "complex" extension. - Thanks
Michel Rutten (Aug 04 2016 at 14:17):
@Richard Kavanagh QICore Encounter is an interesting example:
http://fhir2.healthintersections.com.au/qicore/qicore-encounter.html
This profile overridens constraints on complex extension elements.
Michel Rutten (Aug 04 2016 at 14:17):
Alternatively: https://www.hl7.org/fhir/qicore/qicore-encounter.html
Richard Kavanagh (Aug 04 2016 at 14:52):
Thanks @Michel Rutten that's useful but it was an actual XML instance example I was looking for.
Michel Rutten (Aug 04 2016 at 14:55):
This is an example resource for the above profile:

Ardon Toonstra (Aug 04 2016 at 14:58):
Hi Richard, for the Dutch nl-core-patient there are also some complex extensions in use. You can find the nl-core-patient profile and example here: https://simplifier.net/NL-BasicComponents/nl-core-patient
Richard Kavanagh (Aug 04 2016 at 15:14):
Thanks you both @Michel Rutten @Ardon Toonstra
Michel Rutten (Aug 04 2016 at 15:17):
no prob
Sufyan Patel (Nov 15 2017 at 09:16):
Can you have a complex extension within a complex extension?
I have been able to create an examplar using the HAPI API but unable to model it using Forge.
Lloyd McKenzie (Nov 15 2017 at 09:27):
You can have complex estensions 50 levels deep if you really want to. Forge should support it, though I haven't tried to exercise that capability. Perhaps raise the issue with a screen-shot on the Conformance stream.
Sufyan Patel (Nov 15 2017 at 11:50):
Thanks. I believe it could be a limitation. I'll contact them.
