The Appontment resource allows me to identify the request if there was a referral that results in the appointment, but not if there was another type of request, e.g. an order to perform an MRI, which in turn causes the necessity to create an appointment. I see no other way of supporting this than by using supportingInformation.. @Brian Postlethwaite (new)

I'd use an extension before I'd use "supportingInformation"
