Hello,

I tried posting in the SMART stream and didn't get any response. I figured hopefully I may receive some advice in this stream.

Can anyone share a sample Smart of fhir java starter web app? Is session management required when implementing OAuth2.0?
I see a lot of libraries for Oauth 2.0 client like the Google Client Library but they do not involve session management.

I also found the Java SMART of FHIR HSPC Java Client- https://bitbucket.org/hspconsortium/java-client/src/develop/ - but absolutely no documentation. Does anyone have any experience using it or tailoring it to work with R4?

Any help or guidance is appreciated!

Thanks,

Joel

I think this was developed by HSPC; @Rick Freeman or @Travis Cummings may be able to comment?

@Josh Mandel is Session management required along side OAuth 2.0 for a SMART app? The SMART specification doesnt mention anything about sessions. Hoping you you can advise me on that aspect.

Thanks in advance.

We don't say anything about sessions; an EHR is free to manage sessions as it sees fit.
