Is there any resource (or operation) that could be used to respond to a stock level request? eg 'to a pharmacy: how many packs of a particular medication do youhave in stock?' ?

No. This would not be medication-specific. The furthest we've gone in that area is supply request and delivery

Even in v2 this area was not well developed - presumably because not much implementation was happening, or not much standardisation was happenning
