Hi All,
good evening,
Can any one populated DEA Schedule information that usually referred to Control substance drugs (Schedule 1 to 5) based on the state in US. Which element from resource MedicationRequest or Medication is used to indicated the scheduled information for EPCS message. Can any one help me in locating the field or resource to represent this information.

Thank you for your help.

Thanks
Ram

@Fan Lin can you clarify your question a bit - what do you think will be automatically produced?

@Ramakrishna Pratapa - what does 'indicate the scheduled information for EPCS message' mean?

view this post on Zulip Ramakrishna Pratapa (Sep 08 2017 at 03:03):

in NCPDPD 10.6 XML specification there is a DEASchedule in the MedicationPrescribed segment and what is the equivalent in FHIR MedicationRequest resource. The values in NCPDPD specification are : For values, see the NCPDP External Code List (7996).
C38046 – Unspecified (Unable to determine the schedule for this medication)
C48672 - Schedule I (Message will reject if this code is used.)
C48675 - Schedule II
C48676 - Schedule III
C48677 - Schedule IV
C48679 - Schedule V

is it clear?
Thanks

I thought there was an extension for this, but I can't find it. @Melva Peters ?

Hi What I means is that whether the field value of 'profile‘ created correctly?
The value of it is an URL string and refer to the profile address.
When I upload the data to system ,should it be correctly generated?

@Fan Lin Servers can look at an instance, validate it against the profiles they know of and tag the instance with those profiles it happens to comply with. However, there's no expectation that servers will do so and given that doing so is quite costly in terms of processing effort, it's unlikely to be common. It'll be more typical for profiles to be asserted by the author of the instance prior to submitting to the server.

There has been a number of discussions about a potential attribute. I think that Australia may have an extension - but may not meet this same requirement. In Canada there is an extension but it includes coverage information only and not what looks like the regulatory status for a drug.
