I came across this request (https://jira.hl7.org/browse/FHIR-27906) but wanted to post out to the community as well: is there a requirement to support all levels of precision for a date search? We are looking at the Encounter date search and need to know if we are required to support fuzzy dates (year, year-month, etc.) in addition to the full precision we support today. Any clarity is greatly appreciated!

I don't think we've set clear expectations there. @Yunwei Wang - this seems like something that's at least tangentially related to the current MustSupport discussion. Can you add it to our list of discussion topics?

This is the same class of problem as FHIR#27897 (Clarify Token Search Syntax) and FHIR#27905 (Clarify search by reference syntax)

We may be able to tackle it towards the end of our 4pm-5:30 Eastern call. Though I expect that the outcome would be that this would be just another type of 'feature' - one that would be declared on CapabilityStatement.rest.resource.searchParam
