Topic: SUBSETTED tags
Kevin Olbrich (Apr 06 2019 at 21:14):
In the search part of the standard, it is stated that servers SHOULD use the 'SUBSETTED' tag to indicate when something has been returned in summary mode. The standard doesn't seem to clearly indicate which code system that code is from and an unscientific survey of a couple of test FHIR servers suggests that the system may vary by FHIR version. Am I missing something? Is there a way to determine from the published definition files which system to use?
Lloyd McKenzie (Apr 06 2019 at 21:21):
It's the same code system. The URLs for a bunch of them changed from STU3 to R4.
Kevin Olbrich (Apr 06 2019 at 21:27):
OK, so is there anything in the definition files that marks that code system / code as being the one to use for this purpose? (I'm working on a feature for a code generator that will detect if a resource is subsetted, I'd rather have the generator detect which code-system/code to use for a particular FHIR version than have a conditional based on the FHIR version).
Lloyd McKenzie (Apr 06 2019 at 21:45):
No. It should be added to the tags example value set. Feel free to submit a change request.

This one? https://www.hl7.org/fhir/valueset-common-tags.html
Lloyd McKenzie (Apr 06 2019 at 22:04):
Yes
Kevin Olbrich (Apr 07 2019 at 13:56):
@Lloyd McKenzie are there other tag codes in the spec that are somehow 'special'?

Lloyd McKenzie (Apr 07 2019 at 14:41):
I can't think of any others that we've defined. (And thanks for the CP)
