(Sorry for saying "in 30min" instead of "at 3p ET" -- corrected above, and noting here.)
Josh Mandel (Oct 26 2017 at 15:36):
@Dan Gottlieb @Nikolai Schwertner @Pascal Pfiffner as well!
Avinash Shanbhag (Nov 02 2017 at 14:21):
HI All
Avinash Shanbhag (Nov 02 2017 at 14:23):
Sorry, hit send sooner.. i had a question on Token Revocation. I dont see anything in the SMART IG discussing process or standard for refresh token revocation. I came across RFC 7009 that talks about it. I am wondering if this is something that has/need to be considered to be added to the standard?
John Moehrke (Nov 02 2017 at 17:25):
should ask on the SMART stream
Jenni Syed (Nov 02 2017 at 17:40):
http://www.hl7.org/fhir/smart-app-launch/capability-statement/ revocation is a manual process. The "manage" endpoint discussed on the link above allows the patient to revoke a refresh token/authorization.
Jenni Syed (Nov 02 2017 at 17:41):
That page links to the slides that discussed this proposal as well, which may be useful
Jenni Syed (Nov 02 2017 at 17:42):
In the provider use case, we likely wouldn't provide that link, becuase it's not the provider that authorizes or manages app access to the system - an admin usually does that
Jenni Syed (Nov 02 2017 at 17:44):
@Avinash Shanbhag it probably matters which use case you're wondering about, but in either case, it would be hard to dictate the process for revocation itself.
Jenni Syed (Nov 02 2017 at 17:44):
The manage link is nice b/c it allows that process itself to be driven by each implementation, but there's a UI available for the patient to do this.

Kevin Shekleton (Nov 02 2017 at 18:56):
It's our third call actually :P
Debbie Bucci (Nov 07 2017 at 17:44):
I was looking at the ballot spreadsheet and could not for the life of me figure out if this made it to the list.
Although revocation is a manual process the spec (if I am looking in the right place does support the use of dynamic client registration. Wouldn't in be reasonable to extend that statement to include RFC 7009 for an out of the box solution ...text I'm referring to ": EHR implementers to consider the OAuth 2.0 Dynamic Client Registration Protocol for an out-of-the-box solution "
Josh Mandel (Nov 09 2017 at 19:36):
@Debbie Bucci This doc lists all submitted issues. Did you submit a ballot comment that you don't see there?
Josh Mandel (Nov 09 2017 at 19:36):
We'll be having our weekly SMART ballot reconciliation call in 20min, at 3p ET today.

Also @Keith Boone is able to join, so we'll focus today's call on the SMART "Capability Sets" theme. That is: how should we break conformance down into meaningful packages.
Josh Mandel (Nov 30 2017 at 16:02):
We'll be having our SMART ballot reconciliation call in 4 hours, at 3p ET today.

Josh Mandel (Dec 21 2017 at 15:57):
Given the holiday, we will not be having our SMART ballot reconciliation call this week or next. Looking forward to wrapping up the last few issues in early January!
@Kevin Shekleton @Isaac Vetter @Avinash Shanbhag @Jeff Danford @Grahame Grieve @Eric Haas @Corey Spears @Pascal Pfiffner @Dan Gottlieb @Nikolai Schwertner @Debbie Bucci @Robert Scanlon @Dylan Mahalingam @Joshua Bell and others here FYI.
Grahame Grieve (Dec 21 2017 at 19:22):
is there a document with reconciliation decisions applied? Have we made any substantiative changes?
Josh Mandel (Jan 04 2018 at 17:38):
There's a doc of decisions we've made, but they're not applied yet. @Eric Haas is just getting started with this process at https://github.com/hl7/smart-app-launch/issues (full details in this spreadsheet).
Josh Mandel (Jan 04 2018 at 18:04):
A snowstorm in Boston has thrown off my schedule today -- as such, we will not be having our SMART ballot reconciliation call this week, but I have sent out an e-mail notice about a 2nd block vote. Please review and let me know if you'd like to pull any issues before next Thursday.
- Total issues proposed for block: 11
