Topic: Repeating groups in Observation
Melle Sieswerda (Oct 20 2016 at 08:29):
Hi everyone,
At IKNL we're currently drafting a spec for interfacing structured pathology data. This data contains repeating groups (e.g. a singe PA-report may document multiple tumors).
Am I correct in thinking that repeating groups (and/or hierarchy) is not supported in (nested) Observations? If so, would Questionnaire(Response) be a viable alternative?
Cheers! melle

no see Observation.related

for examples, see http://fhir.hl7.org.au/fhir/rcpa/index.html

Brilliant! "has-member" should indeed work. Thanks Grahame!
Eric Browne (Oct 20 2016 at 21:40):
@Grahame Grieve the two RCPA mapping scripts have some recursive issues. They are manifested in resource profiles and instances that have leaf nodes ( Observations with values) that also have a "has-member" relationships pointing to themselves. These errors also corrupt the hierarchical display of the profiles. Colorectal has 28 such errors. Prostate has 2. Search for "obs.related" in the mapping scripts.
