Topic: RelatedPerson reference in CareTeam US Core 3.1.1

Hello All,
US Core version 3.1.1 doesn't allow RelatedPerson reference (CareTeam.participant.member) but allowed in Base resource. However, EMR is storing RelatedPerson information as well. So how can I use RelatedPerson reference in CareTeam without changing the IG version. (I know latest version is supporting the RelatedPerson reference).
Looking for advise here.

Thank you @René Spronk for the response. Are you referring to add extension for member element? As base resource has RelatedPerson reference but not allowed in US Core.

This has been corrected in US Core Version 4.0.0 and is a known issue. Along with the certification team we will be documenting all these these version updates which are corrections to 3.1.1 as "patches" this summer. Meanwhile if this is a certification issue check with the inferno team if you have to do anything. The fhir validator will still raise an error.

Thanks @Eric Haas for the response. Exactly, we are looking for Inferno certification and got stuck at this point. Anyways, will check with Inferno team on this. Thank you again for the details... it is helpful.
