Topic: Questionnaire with question groups
Omar El-Begawy (Jan 25 2017 at 09:12):
Hi, I am using Forge (version 14.7, San Antonio 2017 Edition) to create a questionnaire with a number of questions grouped into their own sections. The group element, which contains the different sections, requires a discriminator or definition. I set the discriminator to be "@type", and this removes the validation error (also "@profile" works fine). However, if I save the profile, close Forge, reopen Forge and then reopen the profile file, the discriminator is no longer there, despite my saving it. I get the same validation error I had before. Could anyone please tell me how to make a save to the profile group element that lasts? Everything else in my profile saves just fine.

I've tried to reproduce, but for me it seems to save fine if I set a discriminator to @type. Could you email me the profile, so I can check what goes wrong?
Omar El-Begawy (Jan 25 2017 at 12:34):
Ok @Mirjam Baltus , sent you a mail.

@Omar El-Begawy Why are you defining a Questionnaire with a profile instead of just using a Questionnaire instance?
Omar El-Begawy (Jan 26 2017 at 08:17):
@Lloyd McKenzie I am doing it with a profile because Forge does not give much alternative. Please find attached a picture of my procedure.
EDIT: Step 2 in the picture says menu when it should be options.

Thank you Lloyd, I was focusing on the Forge side of the issue to much to realise your approach would be the better one. @Omar El-Begawy please see the mail I sent you to follow up on this.

@Mirjam Baltus @Lloyd McKenzie Thank you for your help, I got it now.
