Topic: Question about Da Vinci project
John Martin (Feb 14 2018 at 16:07):
Is there a "home" page for the davinci project. If I google hl7 davinci I get a lot of hits for things like meetings and twitter feeds but I'm not seeing an introduction to davinci page.
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 14 2018 at 16:34):
@Viet Nguyen ?
Viet Nguyen (Feb 27 2018 at 18:01):
@John Martin I'm the Technical Director for Da Vinci. We're gathering artifacts to put onto the Da Vinci Homepage of HL7's Confluence site. We anticipate having materials there shortly after HIMSS. Was there a specific question I can help answer for you?
Michele Mottini (Jun 13 2018 at 17:44):
...what is the DaVinci project (sorry for the stupid question)?
Lloyd McKenzie (Jun 13 2018 at 18:05):
Not a stupid question at all :)

Thanks Lloyd

(It appears that we are part of it through one of our customers....)

I'm curious, do projects like Da Vinci resonate with anyone outside the US realm? Or are we unique in our obsession with VBC?
Lloyd McKenzie (Jun 13 2018 at 21:17):
DaVinci, being finance focused, is a bit more US-specialized than some areas. Argonaut/US Core as spawned interest (and a few parallel efforts) in other countries. And of course there are international-scale implementation guides that try to take the interests of multiple countries into account from the start - or that grow to do that (e.g. SDC, Genomics)
Grahame Grieve (Jun 13 2018 at 22:04):
Da Vinci IG would be of interest outside USA but not so directly implemented as argonaut (Apple etc interest will drive Argonaut adoption outside USA, but Da Vinci is much more tied to regulated processes that are US specific)
