Topic: QA Process for the build
Grahame Grieve (Feb 27 2017 at 20:31):
Everyone: We have entered the QA freeze stage of the STU3 release process. We've initiated the process of reviewing the spelling grammar across all resources and pages. The other set of things to review is the technical representations of the specification:
- XML schema
- JSON Schema
- SHEX schema
- RDF representation
- JSON-LD representations
- Reference Implementations
Grahame Grieve (Feb 27 2017 at 20:32):
I'm looking for volunteers to review these artifacts. And the volunteer must be someone different from the person who maintains the representations (not for the reference implementations)
Grahame Grieve (Feb 27 2017 at 20:33):
criteria: technical correctness, completeness, license explicit
Eric Haas (Feb 27 2017 at 20:40):
What does a QA review of technical representations entail?
Grahame Grieve (Feb 27 2017 at 20:42):
well, for validating ones like schema, checking that they validate resources. Manual review that they are representing content correctly, checking that they cover all the resources, checking that they have a clear license sattement
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 27 2017 at 21:18):
I'll take on schematron. I bought a full license for saxon, may as well make use of it :)
Grahame Grieve (Feb 27 2017 at 21:24):
heh and I didn't even list that.
Eric Haas (Feb 27 2017 at 22:12):
Well .... the schema causing errors in Spy does that count as QA
Grahame Grieve (Feb 27 2017 at 22:23):
I think it might, yes.
Eric Haas (Feb 27 2017 at 23:28):
Where is the QA issues list?
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 27 2017 at 23:31):
Eric Haas (Feb 27 2017 at 23:40):
I meant the form or process for identifying issues during the QA review of technical representations?
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 28 2017 at 00:51):
Well, if you volunteered, you'll have been given instructions. If you didn't volunteer, then just go ahead and make the edits if you've got commit privileges, staying within the bounds of what's permitted by the freeze.
Grahame Grieve (Feb 28 2017 at 06:13):
ok I just fixed the schema errors
