Topic: PDEX Plan Net conformance expectation for search

Hello,
I am trying to find the conformance common expectation (SHALL, SHOULD, MAY) for the search parameters of the DaVinci PDEX Plan Net IG.
E. g. for US core there is a documentation that provides the conformance common expectation for the search parameters.
The mentioned DaVinci PDEX Plan Net page doesn’t specify them. The only place where I found it is the capability statement from the https://build.fhir.org/
However, quote -“This version is based on the current content of https://github.com/HL7/davinci-pdex-plan-net/ and changes regularly”.
Where I may find the stable version of Plan Net conformance common expectations for the search parameters?
Thank you, Alex

@Saul Kravitz Can you address this question?

Very good question that was raised repeatedly at the recent connectathon. High priority action item. Will try to remember to update this thread when we have something to look at.

@Saul Kravitz Thank you very much for the provided details!
As a FHIR server implementer I need to understand what option I need to use as the source of true:

  1. The description of the search parameters of the DaVinci PDEX Plan Net IG.
  2. The capability statement from the https://build.fhir.org
    What do you think?

view this post on Zulip Saul Kravitz (May 27 2020 at 21:57):

We are in the process of reviewing the existing search parameters, and then we will update the capability statement.
I think you can expect most of the reference search parameters to "make the cut", and most of the token/string/url search parameters.
Are there specific search parameters or capabilities (chaining, reverse chaining, location.near, other) that are a concern to you?

Hi @Mark Scrimshire @Saul Kravitz ,
With @Aleksandr Teterin I'm trying to use Plan Net.
After investigation, we think that in the build/current version are fewer issues than in the stable one.
Can we use the build version as the source of truth and develop our solution based on that IG or we must use the stable version?

By build version, I mean this: https://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/davinci-pdex-plan-net.
By stable version, I mean this: http://hl7.org/fhir/us/davinci-pdex-plan-net/2020Feb.

This also came up at connectathon and it was advised that the latest build is likely closer to the 1.0 than the 2020Feb version. So I think I'd go from the latest build if I were you.

The CI build is converging on the version to be published.
Please look at that version, and share any feedback or questions with me. Thx

@Saul Kravitz maybe you can release that version afterwords? When we can expect the next release?

CI = continuous integration.
As changes are approved by the WG, the CI build (https://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/davinci-pdex-plan-net) is modified.
It is a work in progress.
Most of the remaining work relates to value sets for MS elements that are current bound with (example) binding.
