Aside from the narrative text, is there any way to document a description of an Organization (either a standard field or an extension)? It may be valuable to convey context about the Organization in a way that's not comingled with a bunch of other free text version Organization content.

Not yet. You could theoretically stick something in code.text, but that's not a great fit. Seems like a very good idea for a change request. I'd expect an extension at minimum, but seems to me this could be a fit for 'core'.

Would also want to be sure that doesn't get confused with Location and HealthcareService, which both do have descriptions.

Why is that not a 'core' extension? It's certainly not specific to the VhDir IG...
