So please guide me to do my first contribution and is this organization coming in the upcoming Gsoc or not??

Hi @Harsh Bang, I've changed your topic name to one related to your post. (You'd originally posted under "R4 Profiles")

It depends what you mean by "your Organization". HL7 is a standards organization and does not, itself, really develop any code except that to make its own websites and services run. It does, however, through the work of its volunteers, develop open "standards specification" that guide implementers on how to create interoperable healthcare applications. A good number of the volunteers also create software that implements those standards and/or supports the development or implementation of those standards. Some of those efforts are open source.

What's driving your interest to participate? What would you like to achieve? That'll help us guide you to a project that would best fit your interests.

there are many open-source projects utilizing the FHIR standard -- https://confluence.hl7.org/display/FHIR/Open+Source+Implementations

Join one of those, or find a niche that they don't fill.

Hi Everyone, I am an android development enthusiast and well familiar with Java and Kotlin. I want to start my open source contribution journey from FHIR. I would be very grateful if you will provide me with some guidance to start my contribution and path to follow contribution in projects.

@ANSHUL KASHYAP - you already started a stream on #social. For the future, etiquette here is to only raise a question in one place unless someone asks you to take it elsewhere or you've waited a few days for a response. See my response to your question on the other thread.

Sorry @Lloyd McKenzie I will take care of that. I am new here so I was not familiar with the rules.
