Topic: Narrative with non-div as the root tag
James Agnew (Jan 24 2020 at 20:56):
The FHIR narrative page at http://hl7.org/fhir/narrative.html#xhtml refers to the <div>
tag quite a few times, and of course the actual element where the narrative goes is called div
, but...
it doesn't seem like it mandates that the root tag actually be a <div>
tag. Am I missing anything or would this be valid?
"div": "<pre xmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml\">Hello</pre>"
Lloyd McKenzie (Jan 24 2020 at 21:04):
The div in XML is an HTML div. The content can be any node that's allowed as a child of div
James Agnew (Jan 25 2020 at 00:13):
So.. @Lloyd McKenzie sorry, does that mean that my example above is valid or no? In JSON if the root element isn't a div is the div just implied?
Lloyd McKenzie (Jan 25 2020 at 01:17):
Looks like convention says it's an error
Grahame Grieve (Jan 26 2020 at 20:22):
the stadnard is trying to say that it must be a div. If you think it's not clear enough (naming it 'the div element') then you could create a task to clarify
James Agnew (Jan 27 2020 at 21:04):
Will do.
James Agnew (Jan 27 2020 at 21:12):
FHIR-25328
James Agnew (Jan 27 2020 at 21:14):
