@Peter Jordan @David Hay can I use given below value set for martial status and gender or there is some specific value set defined for NZ

http://hl7.org/fhir/v3/MaritalStatus
http://hl7.org/fhir/administrative-gender

Not yet - for R3 or R4 anyway - there are some issues to be resolved around Code Systems and Value Sets. However, the bigger picture is that NZ now has a central repository of patient demographic data (NHI) that's updated dynamically by point-of-care systems, so the need for healthcare facilities to exchange much of this data between themselves has been much reduced.

Could you please re-post this on the NZ stream and possibly explain the use case. Most point of care systems in NZ are now designed to treat the NHI as a 'single source of truth' for patient demographic data and, as such, are bound by the Value Sets in the HISO 10046 Health Identity Standard.

No date - we need to gather more requirements from the growing number of our (HL7NZ) members who are implementing FHIR. Could you please specify (preferably on the NZ Stream) who you are working for?
