We have an emerging requirement to split these references into domain and local part.
In emails this would be similar to local-part@domain addresses.
Similar to HL7v2 MSH Sending/Receiving Application | Sending/Receiving Facility combinations.
This is to help route messages (senders and intermediaries can not be expected to route to local addresses).
Has anyone else tackled this? We are looking at using an extension to hold the local references (LocalPart) and add guidance to suggest the sender/destination.receiver are references to Organisation (/facility).
