Topic: Mapping Medication Order to Medication Request

We are working on migrating DSTU2 medication orders to R4 medication requests and see that MedicationOrder.dateEndedand MedicationOrder.reasonEnded have been removed. The comment in the mapping file is "see provenance". Is this a recommendation to use a Provenance resource to capture this information? Any more detail on what to do with these two fields would be kindly appreciated.
