Topic: MED-RT Replacing NDF-RT

view this post on Zulip John Snyder (Feb 20 2019 at 13:21):

Greetings,

The FHIR Terminology website (https://www.hl7.org/fhir/terminologies-systems.html) lists NDF-RT but doesn't list MED-RT, its predecessor. Are there any plans to add MED-RT to the list of FHIR terminologies and if so is there a time line?

Thanks
John

I don't know of any specific plans for it yet. Ultimately, we don't want to keep relying on the core spec for publishing terminologies, but since NDF-RT is already there I agree that adding MED-RT makes sense. Submitting a tracker would be in order, if you want to do that (or I can). And posting that back here and also on the terminology stream would be good.

We also talked about this on a previous terminology topic back when it was announced: https://chat.fhir.org/#narrow/stream/179202-terminology/topic/NDF-RT.20and.20MED-RT

I would continue the discussion there

Thanks for that, Jenni. I hadn't thought about that topic from a while back, but I agree it makes sense to continue discussion there.
