Topic: Lost Releases

3.0.0 was replaced with 3.0.1, 2.0 disappeared.
I do not think, it's a good idea to remove and update releases. Programmers wisdom tell us releases better keep immutable.
Vadim Peretokin (Apr 25 2017 at 07:06):
DSTU2 was 1.0.2 , if that's what you mean? Agreed on losing 3.0.0, now I can't compare what changed between 3.0.0 without downloading a 700mb zip
Yunwei Wang (Apr 25 2017 at 13:02):
I remember there was a discussion in San Antonio WGM that DSTU number had different from release number. For example, DSTU2 has release number 1.0.x and STU3, at that time, has release number 2.0.x This caused confusion among FHIR newcomers. So the WG decided to skip release 2.0.x and jump to 3.0 to be compatible with STU number.
Grahame Grieve (Apr 25 2017 at 13:15):
2.x never existed
Grahame Grieve (Apr 25 2017 at 13:15):
3.0.0 is still available as a zip if you want it. But since 3.0.1 is a technical correction, and very soon after 3.0.0, we withdrew 3.0.0 from general availability.
Grahame Grieve (Apr 25 2017 at 21:02):
that was a deliberate choice; we didn't want people to be confused about which to implement - 3.0.0 or 3.0.1 (since it's the same either way). We've always done this with technical corrections
