Topic: How is a NEW & FOLLOW-UP appointment represented?

I am posting this on behalf of InterOPEN in the UK.
On our weekly curation call there was a requirement to indicate that an appointment is marked as a NEW or FOLLOW-UP particularly for outpatient appointments.
What is the best practice in this case?

Looks like something that should go in appointmentType. (The preferred value set looks like it could use a bit of work as some of the concepts are orthogonal but there's no hierarchy defined.)
