Topic: Global Health Hackathon
Grey Faulkenberry (Oct 25 2021 at 14:25):
Inviting anyone to participate in a Hackathon next weekend/week. We're hosting it at AMIA, but you don't have to have anything to do with AMIA to participate! Our focus is on using FHIR to improve interoperability between open-source tools used in low resource settings like OpenMRS, DHIS2, but also things like REDCap and R/Rstudio. So tell your friends!

hey @Grey Faulkenberry how are you handling the comms for the hackathon? I won't be participating formally, for example, due to timezone issues, but I'd be happy to track progress and answer any questions that come up - will be using any kind of IM? (you can use chat.fhir.org if you want)
Grey Faulkenberry (Oct 25 2021 at 19:17):
I appreciate the offer! We actually have a slack channel that we've been using. https://join.slack.com/t/gh-informatics/shared_invite/zt-xmloy16o-TlcCSF_4mmj82IsbKJjv0Q You're more than welcome to join! (and I'll be honest, AMIA has never tried to host a hackathon before, so the turnout may be quite small).
