Topic: FHIR used for QRDA generation for eCQMS

We are implementing QI Core to used FHIR for eCQM Measure Calculations and QRDA I and III generation. We are having difficulty mapping all the data required in QRDAs to QI Core resources. Certain things are missing. I'm wondering if there has been anyone who has been able to successfully implement FHIR and used the resources to generated the QRDAs? We would like to talk to someone implementing FHIR with the same intention and discuss issues we have found during implementation. Thanks.

Hi @Susan Grossenbacher , there has been quite a bit of work in this area, both in mapping from QDM to QI-Core and from QI-Core to QDM. The mappings from QDM to QI-Core are detailed in the QI-Core implementation guide: http://hl7.org/fhir/us/qicore/qdm-to-qicore.html, and the mappings from QI-Core to QDM are specified in the Mappings tab of each profile: http://hl7.org/fhir/us/qicore/StructureDefinition-qicore-adverseevent-mappings.html

We have run a few connectathons on this, and have had some success, but we are also still actively working through some of the mappings and representations as we explore how translation of CQL measures against QDM to measures against FHIR. I'd be happy to chat if you want to send me a message.
