Topic: FHIR resource paths
Stefan Dimitrov (Oct 31 2016 at 15:22):
Hello, I am trying to pull all valuesets referenced by FHIR resources or QiCore profiles. While the resources themselves point to a path within http://hl7.org/fhir/ValueSet/ the files are not actually available on this URL. I was able to find most valuesets under http://build.fhir.org/ by prefixing the names with "valueset-" . Still, some valuesets were not available on this server and I found them on http://hl7.org/fhir/2016Sep/ . Yet, one valueset (v3-ConfidentialityClassification) was under http://build.fhir.org/v3/ConfidentialityClassification/ .
I understand the FHIR spec is still under development, but is there certain rule for the location of resources that we can follow? The goal is to have a script download all valuesets and internal FHIR codesystems.

Note that http://hl7.org/fhir is not actually a FHIR server, it hosts the documentation. If you want to download the sample resources, you can find a link to archives for those in XML, JSON or RDF format here: http://build.fhir.org/downloads.html

Thanks, do you mean the valuesets.json within the definitions.json.zip file? It also doesn't have the valuesets I mentioned.
Pascal Pfiffner (Oct 31 2016 at 16:35):
The valuesets.json
file bundles quite some ValueSets (and CodeSystems), but there are also a many files starting with valueset-
. I don't know if all existing ones should be there or not, honestly.
Stefan Dimitrov (Oct 31 2016 at 17:45):
Thank you, found them.

actually, this should all work
Grahame Grieve (Oct 31 2016 at 18:10):
http://hl7.org/fhir/ValueSet/appointmentstatus will redirect to http://hl7.org/fhir/valueset-appointmentstatus.html
