Just wanted to know is some work has been done to Patient biometric data exchange in FHIR side.
We want to exchange thumb prints, palm scans stc..

It depends how the data is encoded. The Binary resource is best if you're sending a scan. What is your specific use case?

Thanks David, Yes primary use case is to store thumb prints and palm scan. Indeed binary looks best choice. I am just looking for if some one has model data exchange process for this type of use cases in FHIR.

The choice of how to exchange this data wouldn't be any different from sharing a PDF or some other sort of binary data. There's a list of exchange approaches (and recommendations for choosing between them) here: https://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/davinci-ehrx/exchanging.html
